January Meeting – Hybrid Lecture from Elizabeth Chappell

January 21 @ 2:00 PM 4:30 PM EST

Join us for our first meeting of 2024 as we hear from Elizabeth Chappell on “How to Become a Quilt Pattern Designer.”

Elizabeth Chappell is a fabric designer for Art Gallery Fabrics, a quilt pattern writer, podcast host of the ‘Craft to Career’ podcast, and loves teaching other quilters how they can turn their craft into a successful career.  She learned how to quilt in 2016, at the time as she opened a monthly subscription box for quilters.

Elizabeth will be talking with our guild specifically about writing and selling quilt patterns. You’ll learn what opportunities there are as a pattern writer, and what will set you up for success as a quilt pattern writer.

Her presentation will cover:

Opportunities in our industry to be a quilt pattern designer.

Different ways to earn money as a quilt pattern designer.

How to get started as a quilt pattern designer.

Biggest tips for success and how to stand out in a crowd.

Plus, there will be a few drawings for those who attend the meeting (in person at the library or virtually during the live Zoom presentation)!

This lecture will be done via Zoom, so you can join us at the library or from your own home. The link and password will be shared to members via email.
